In an unprecedented technology breakthrough, Finygo, the proper fishing diary, will soon allow anglers to weigh their fish using just their net, phone and the app.
A common complaint heard by the Finygo team is that anglers forgot their scales over 42% of the time! This gets really frustrating when they land a really good fish because no-one’s ever going to believe how big that fish is given how easily photos can be altered these days. The only way to really know the size of the fish is to weigh it.
In testing last weekend, CEO Chris Atkinson said “I’m super impressed with how well it’s working.” As he was weighing his first double digit carp he said, “We need to do more testing and especially on bigger fish to be sure it can take the weight.”
Not only will this take the pressure off anglers to remember their scales, but also Finygo will remember the weight of nets often used by anglers – both dry and wet.
“If you look at the picture of me with the actual carp it easily looks as if it’s over 30kg, but in reality it was only 10lb.” said Chris. “Because it will accurately capture the weight of the fish in the app, anglers can confidently boast about the size of their catches!”
While this story may well be fake news to welcome the arrival of the fourth month (Happy April Fool’s Day!) , the trips, catches and angler referrals you’ll see in Finygo will all be genuine!
